Coking coal futures on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) hit an all-time record high of $415.8/t on 14 Jan’22 amid strong Australian and global coal prices. Tight supply conditions surrounding the recent disruptions to logistics in North America, flooding in Colombia, and rainfall in Queensland continued to support futures prices that have outpaced the spot physical index for the sixth trading day.
