*Correction- OMC Chrome ore prices increase in June (previously mentioned in May).
Bhubaneswar: Chrome ore prices of Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) have increased across all grades in the e-auction held on 18Jun, 2014. Prices for the inside state buyers have increased significantly, however the outside state buyers have witnessed decline in prices.
There were 60,000 MT friable Chrome ore and 5,000 MT of Concentrate on offer. The +54 grade firable ore for the inside state buyers has been increased by 6.5% against the May price to INR15,481/MT. But, the prices of the same grade for the outsiders have increased to INR 13,881/MT, which was INR 1,424/MT in the May auction.
The prices for 52-54 grade have been increased the most among all the grades for the inside quota, and has increased by 15% to INR 15,552/MT. But, the prices for the same grade for the outsiders have declined to INR 13,152/MT against INR 13,486/MT in the month of May.
Meanwhile, there were no 44-46, 42-44 and 40-42 grade friable Chrome ore in the June e-auction.
