SAIL held two auctions for around 8,400 t of basic grade pig iron on 12 Jan’22 from its Rourkela and Bokaro steel plants. At the RSP auction, 6,400 t of material was booked at a weighted average price of INR 40,000/t, with the bid price increasing by INR 2,050/t compared to an earlier auction on 5 Jan. At the Bokaro auction, 2,000 t of pig iron was booked at INR 41,750/t exw. The bid price increased by INR 3,550/t.
