Melting scrap prices today rose in the range of INR 100-400/t across major domestic markets, following price movements in sponge iron and semi-finished steel. However, in a few markets, prices remained unchanged on usual buying activity. Scrap prices in the short term may remain range-bound without major changes, trader sources reported.
