Taiwan: Ferrous scrap imports fall by 13%, y-o-y, in CY’21

Taiwan’s ferrous scrap imports slipped 13% to 2.91 mn t in CY’21 vis-a-vis 3.34 mn t in CY’20.
The USA was the top exporter to Taiwan with 1.21 mn t followed by Japan and Australia with 0.50 mn t and 0.20 mn t, respectively.
On a m-o-m basis, imports volume were down by 12% to 0.22 mn t in Dec as against 0.25 mn t in Nov.
