Tata Steel plans to set up an iron ore beneficiation plant adjoining its Joda iron ore mine in Odisha. The plant is intended to improve the ore quality in order to meet the requirements of quality steel production. The captive mine, with 12 mn t of production capacity, feeds the company’s steel plants in Jamshedpur, Kalinganagar, Meramandali and Tata Steel Long Products, Gamharia.
