Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan remained stable at RMB 4,370/t ($686/t), inclusive of 13% VAT on 11 Jan’22. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s rebar futures contract for May’22 delivery on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) closed today at RMB 4,589/t ($720/t), witnessing a sharp recovery of RMB 97/t ($15/t), d-o-d.
