US coking coal exports during Jan-Nov’21 rose by 9% y-o-y to 37.5 mn t, customs data shows. Shipments to China surged to 10 mn t in the first 11 months of CY’21 from 950,000 t last year as China put an informal ban on Australian coal imports. US met coke exports also rose multi-fold to 1.6 mn t during the period, an increase of 183% on the year.
