US: Pig iron imports rise by over 40%, y-o-y, in Jan-Nov’21

Pig iron imports by the USA rose by 41% in Jan-Nov’21 to 5.78 mn t compared with 4.10 mn t in the same period last year, as per US customs.
Russia was the largest exporter with 2.01 mn t, followed by Ukraine and Brazil with 1.6 mn t each.
Imports in Nov rose to 0.61 mn t from 0.38 mn t in Oct, a sharp rise of 60% m-o-m.
