Sponge iron prices in Rourkela rose by INR 100/t. According to sources, high coal prices and steel billet prices, which increased by INR 200/t exw-Rourkela today, have kept sponge iron prices supported.
- SteelMint’s assessment for sponge C-DRI (70% lumps and 30% fines) stands at INR 32,600/t ($440/t).
- About 3,600 t of deals were confirmed at INR 32,500-32,600/t exw-Rourkela today.
