USA: Ferrous scrap exports drop 9% on month in Nov’21

US ferrous scrap exports fell by 9%, m-o-m, to 1.33 mn t in Nov’21 against 1.46 mn t in Oct, as per customs data.
Turkey was the top importer with 0.35 mn t, followed by Mexico and Taiwan with 0.16 mn t and 0.12 mn t, respectively.
On a year-on-year basis, too, US export volumes were down by 8% from 1.45 mn t in Nov’20.
