SAIL conducted an auction yesterday (7 Jan’22) for 20,000 t (60 kg) of full-length commercial rails from Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP). Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 39,310/t exw, sources informed. Bid prices increased by INR 2,560/t as compared to the previous auction on 21 Dec at which 17,000 t of rails were booked at INR 36,750/t exw.
