Domestic trade-level prices of HR plates have increased by INR 400/t ($5/t) this week, despite low demand. SteelMint’s assessment for HR plate (E250, 5-10 mm) stands at INR 63,500-64,500/t ($852-866/t) exy-Mumbai. Prices exclude GST at 18%. However, Chinese heavy plate (SS400) export prices declined to $770-795/t on FOB basis from the previous week’s $790-800/t.
