Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan witnessed a d-o-d rise of RMB 40/t ($6/t) on 6 Jan’22. Domestic billet prices stood at RMB 4,320/t ($677/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE re-bar futures contract for May’22 delivery closed today at RMB 4,494/t ($704), a rise of RMB 50/t ($8/t), d-o-d.
