SteelMint’s sponge iron (FeM 80%, 100% lumps) export price assessment for Bangladesh increased by $5-10/t to $440/t CPT Benapole, equivalent to $470/t CFR Chittagong, Bangladesh. Renewed demand from major mills have lifted offers and around 5,000 t of deals were confirmed recently.
- Offers for Nepal stood at $435-440/t exw India (loaded on to rake), equivalent to $460-465/t CPT Nepal, for a mix of 70% lumps and 30% fines.
