SAIL conducted an auction today for 6,000 t of basic grade pig iron from Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP). Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 38,750/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. Bid prices increased by INR 830/t compared to the previous auction on 22 Dec. At the previous auction, 10,000 t of pig iron had been booked at INR 37,920/t exw.
