MSTC-Karnataka conducted an e-auction on behalf of Sandur Mines (SMIORE) on 31 Dec’21 for 10,080 t of manganese ore (Mn 26-34%). Seven bidders participated in the auction and booked 8,064 t of ore at a price 2.73% higher than the base. Participants at not showing great buying interest at auctions due mainly to ample inventory with buyers, and also because they expect prices to fall in the near term.
