South Korea’s domestic prices of zinc ingot exceeded KRW 4.5 million/t ($3,752/t) in Jan’22, posting an increase of KRW 140,000/t m-o-m, as per Korea’s Non-Ferrous Metals Association. The average price of zinc in Dec on LME was $3,407/t, slightly higher than the average price of $3,317 in Nov. Zinc ingots are being imported from India, Canada, Peru and Myanmar, while imports plunged due to delta mutations in India.
