Domestic HR plate prices have dropped by INR 900/t ($12/t) this week. Demand for HR plate remains slow with buyers waiting for price revision announcements for Jan’22 from major producers. Also, downtrend in global plate prices has kept sentiments bearish.
SteelMint’s assessment for HR plate (E250, 5-10mm) stands at INR 63,500-64,000/t ($854-861/t) exy-Mumbai. Prices exclude GST at 18%.
