India: Melting scrap prices down INR 100/t in Alang

Melting scrap prices in Alang inched down INR 100/t on 30 Dec’21. The trade reference price of HMS (80:20) is assessed at INR 36,900/t, while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 37,900/t. Scrap offers remained almost range-bound following a nominal correction in semi-finished steel prices, SteelMint notes.
