India: Bellary sponge iron prices fall on limited enquiries

Sponge iron, P-DRI (FeM 80%), prices in Karnataka’s Bellary declined by INR 200/t, while C-DRI prices decreased by INR 300/t on 29 Dec’21.

• Around 700 t of P-DRI deals were confirmed at INR 30,000/t against offers at INR 30,200/t exw.
• SteelMint’s assessment for C-DRI stands at INR 30,800-31,000/t ($412-415/t) and around 500 t of deals were reported.
