Japan’s Nippon Steel Stainless (NSSC) has raised 300 series nickel-based stainless steel wire rod prices by JPY 35,000/t ($305/t) and that of the 400 series by JPY 25,000/t ($218/t) for orders placed between Dec’21 and Feb’22. The prices of stainless steel wires have been raised due to increased costs of nickel and chromium as well as fluctuations in exchange rate and LNG prices.
