SteelMint’s assessment for sponge iron increased by INR 1,350/t today to INR 32,050/t exw-Rourkela. Rising billet prices continued to support sponge iron prices, SteelMint notes.
- About 2,400 t of C-DRI (70% lumps & 30% fines) deals were reported at INR 32,000-32,400/t, while a few producers raised offers to INR 32,800-33,000/t exw-Rourkela.
