India: South African RB2 coal sold at INR 12,000/t at Gangavaram Port

In the midst of acute coal shortage at Gangavaram Port, 12,000 t of South African RB2 coal was traded at INR 12,000/t, up from INR 11,800/t last week. In another deal, 4,000 t of RB2 was sold at INR 11,800/t. Limited vessel arrivals from South Africa and the rising South African thermal coal index continue to fuel the rally, market participants informed.
