Sponge iron prices in Rourkela moved up by INR 400/t. SteelMint’s assessment for sponge C-DRI (70% lumps & 30% fines) stand at INR 30,700/t ($409/t) exw-Rourkela on 24 Dec’21.
About 2,220 t of deals were confirmed at INR 30,400-30,700/t exw. Prices rallied after a surge in billet offers by INR 600/t, d-o-d, SteelMint notes.
