Vietnam’s leading steelmaker, Hoa Phat Group, has ordered two blast furnaces of 2,500 cubic metres each from Danieli Corus for its new Dung Quat Steel Complex-II. The new plant will add 5.6 mn t of liquid steel to the company’s annual production capacity. This contract follows the 2017 order for four blast furnaces of 1,080 cubic metres each, all of which are now operational at Dung Quat Steel Complex-I.
