India: South African RB2 prices rises further to INR 11,200/t at Gangavaram

In a confirmed deal, 11,000 t of South African RB2 coal was sold at INR 11,200/t at Gangavaram Port, as against INR 11,000/t last week. Portside RB2 prices continued to rise amid a sharp fall in stock and rise in imported prices. Coal stock at Gangavaram Port declined to 0.98 mn t, down 16% w-o-w, during 12-16 Dec’21, while stock at RBCT fell to a multi-year low of 1.86 mn t.
