China: Steel bar production drops nearly 24%, y-o-y, in Nov’21

China’s steel bar production stood at 17.76 mn t in Nov’21, a year-on-year decrease of 23.7%, National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) data shows. In Jan-Nov, bar production was 231.847 mn t, down 4.1% y-o-y. In Nov, the country’s wire rod output was 11.025 mn t, a decrease of 26.4% on the year, while output declined by 7% on year to 143.074 mn t in Jan-Nov.
