Melting scrap prices in Alang witnessed a marginal decline on 20 Dec’21. The trade reference price of HMS (80:20) is assessed at INR 36,600/t, while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 37,600/t. Semi-finished steel prices corrected by INR 200-300/t, which resulted in a parallel adjustment in scrap offers today, SteelMint notes.
