Melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat saw a marginal decrease today on 18 Dec’21. The trade reference price of HMS (80:20) is assessed at INR 37,000/t, while attachment prices stand at INR 38,000/t. Limited transactions in steel billets along with lack of demand in finished steel in the yesterday’s trading session prompted scrap suppliers to lower their offers marginally.
