Steel wire rod witnessed weak buying enquiries in today’s trading session in the Raipur market despite an attractive trade discount offered by resellers. The discount increased by INR 100-300/t to INR 1,700-2,000/t d-o-d, while manufacturers kept offers prices stable at 47,000/t. Traders are cautious about booking bulk volumes due to fluctuations in semi-finished steel prices, which has led to low trade volumes in the spot market.
