Heavy melting scrap HMS (80:20) prices in Gujarat’s Alang increased marginally today by INR 100/t to 37,200/t exw, while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 38,200/t exw. Suppliers increased the price owing to the slight improvement observed in market sentiments. However, limited trade in semi-finished steel has led to scrap prices remaining range-bound, sources informed.
