Merafe, a major producer of ferro chrome in South Africa, has announced that the European benchmark ferro chrome price for Q1CY’22 will be 180 cents / lb., a rollover from the previous quarter. Despite a significant drop in the price of ferro chrome in China, the prices of Merafe remain high due to increased power and freight costs.
