Bhubaneswar: Despite its mines have been allowed to operate, Tata Steel is considering to import few more Iron ore shipments in next few months. After importing a consignment of about 40,000 MT last month from Australia, the company has reportedly imported another shipment carrying around 17,000 MT Iron ore through the Paradip port today.
Conforming this development, a senior official at Tata Steel has said that the company is planning to import few more Iron ore consignments in next few months, especially from countries like Australia, Brazil & Chille through Paradip & Haldia port.
Recently, the Odisha government has issued an express order for renewal of 8 mines including 5 mines of Tata Steel that were closed after the Supreme Court’s order in mid May.
