India’s coal production increased by 6% m-o-m to 67.84 mn t in Nov’21. Notably, coal despatches of 71.13 mn t again outpaced monthly production in Nov. Out of the total production, contribution of Coal India Ltd (CIL) was 53.8 mn t, Singareni Collieries Company (SCCL) produced 5.61 mn t, and the remaining 8.43 mn t came from a mixed bag of captive and merchant miners.
