Sponge iron, C-DRI (FeM 80%, 70% lumps & 30% fines), prices in Odisha’s Rourkela stayed unchanged at INR 28,500/t ($378/t) exw on 7 Dec’21. Around 2,100 t of deals were confirmed in the price range of INR 28,300-28,600/t exw.
Sponge iron prices remain under pressure on overall bearish steel market sentiments and prices in the near term will be determined by billet and coal prices.
