India: Sponge iron prices slip marginally in Bellary

Sponge iron, C-DRI (FeM 80%), prices in Karnataka’s Bellary declined by INR 200/t on 6 Dec’21. However, pellet-based sponge iron, P-DRI, prices continued to stay flat in today’s trade, as per SteelMint assessment.

• Around 2,900 t of P-DRI deals were confirmed at INR 26,500-26,700/t against offers at INR 26,800/t exw.
• SteelMint assesses C-DRI at INR 28,400/t ($376/t). Around 500 t of deals were reported today.
