Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan rose by RMB 50/t ($8/t) on 6 Dec’21. Domestic billet prices stood at RMB 4,340/t ($680/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s re-bar futures contract for May’22 delivery closed today at RMB 4,359/t ($683/t), a decrease of RMB 25/t ($4/t) against the closing on 3 Dec.
