India: SAIL calls for TMT Conversion Agent in Nagpur

SAIL again has invited tender for TMT conversion agent for appointment as Wet-Leasing Agent(s) (WLA) in Nagpur.

Tenderer should be a bonafide, resourceful, financially sound person(s)/firm(s)/ company. The concerned Wet-Leasing Agent(s) must be willing to offer total capacity of its plant as per production requirement of SAIL.

Tenderer must be a well-established entity who has an installation of any one of  the mentioned TMT process such as Turboquench, Thermex, Tempcore, Stelmore & Evcon, with a minimum conversion capacity of  72,000 MT and 1,20,000 MT (max.)of TMT bars(8 mm to 32 mm) per year at Nagpur.

Approx 80% of production capability should be in range of 8 mm to 16 mm.

Eligibility

• Tenderer should be a BIS license holder when they apply and have reputed name
• They should have financially good record during past three years
• They shall have the facility of microstructure study with photographic facility for analysis and spectrometer in its premises for chemical analysis of semis and finished products
• They have to offer full capacity to SAIL during tender period. They can’t sell their own brand to anyone

SAIL will supply re-rollable materials or semis to WLAs directly from the nearest plant.
