State-owned leading long steel producer, Vizag Steel, has scheduled an e-auction for around 1,000 t of steel grade pig iron on 8 Dec’21. At the steelmaker’s previous pig iron auction, conducted on 17 Nov, buyers booked only 250 t out of 1,000 t on offer at INR 40,500/t exw. Bid prices decreased by INR 2,350/t in comparison with the previous auction held on 6 Nov.
