India, the second-largest steel producing country in the world, saw crude steel production volumes dropping by 3% on the month, in Nov’21, as per provisional data from the Joint Plant Committee (JPC).
- Volumes dropped to 9.188 mn t against 9.503 mn t in Oct’21.
- Production increased by 2% against 9.034 mn t in Nov’20.
India’s apparent steel use also dropped 3% m-o-m and 8% y-o-y to 8.468 mn t in Nov.
