After rising last week, Indonesian thermal coal prices for the different grades fell by $1-5/t this week as Chinese buying interest waned. Prices of 6500 GAR and 4200 GAR coals are currently assessed at $149.8/t and $70.6/t, respectively. Continuous pressure by the Chinese authorities to stablise domestic coal prices is weighing on Indonesian thermal coal export prices.
