Steel major SAIL has announced a reduction in the list price of wire rods (5.5mm) by around INR 3,500/t ($47/t) for Dec’21 sales, sources informed SteelMint. The current price, effective 1 Dec, stands at around INR 51,500-52,000/t ($687-693/t) ex-Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), excluding GST at 18%. SteelMint reported yesterday that another integrated steel major slashed wire rod prices by INR 2,000/t.
