Turkey: Ferrous scrap imports rise 11% y-o-y in Jan-Oct’21

Turkey’s ferrous scrap imports rose by 11% to 20 mn t in Jan-Oct’21 vis-a-vis 18 mn t in the same period last year, as per SteelMint data.
The US was the top exporter to Turkey with 3.04 mn t in Jan-Oct’21 followed by the Netherlands and the UK with 2.50 mn t and 1.94 mn t, respectively.
In Oct’21, scrap imports have shown a marginal 1% m-o-m increase to 1.55 mn t as against 1.54 mn t in Sept’21.
