Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan remained stable at RMB 4,290/t ($674/t), inclusive of 13% VAT on 1 Dec’21. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s rebar futures contract for May’22 delivery on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) closed today at RMB 4,306/t ($676/t), a sharp increase of RMB 143/t ($22/t), d-o-d.
