China: Manzhouli Port suspends coal imports amidst Covid scare

Manzhouli in Inner Mongolia, the largest land port in the world which handles a bulk of the land trade between China and Russia, has temporarily suspended imports of various products, including coal, in non-containerised form due to the recent rise in Covid-19 cases. This is likely to hamper China’s coal imports from Mongolia and Russia in the short term, sources informed.
