Around 3,500 t of billet deals were reported by Ramgarh, Jharkhand-based plants, of which 1,300 t of low-carbon billets were sold at INR 42,000/t exw on advance payment basis to buyers in Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab.
The freight cost to Mandi Gobindgarh is estimated at around INR 2,500/t via road, sources informed.
The remaining 2,200 t of mild steel billet deals were concluded at around INR 41,300-41,500/t in local and near by regions on exw-Ramgarh basis.
