In a confirmed deal, 4,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) grade coal was sold at INR 12,300/t at Gangavaram port. Prices have risen as against INR 10,700/t reported on 23 Nov’21. Tight cargo availability from the country amidst rising winter demand from China has pulled RB1 (6000 NAR) coal prices up by $27/t, w-o-w, to $161/t FOB.
