Tata Metaliks has reduced pig iron prices by INR 1,800/t ($24/t), or 4%. Fresh offers for foundry grade material are at INR 44,200/t and for basic grade pig iron offers stand at INR 41,200/t. Prices are exw-Kharagpur and applicable for the Kolkata and Howrah markets.
Pig iron prices are under pressure on falling steel and coal prices amidst sluggish global trends.
