Australian premium low-volatile hard coking coal prices decreased by $43/t to $318/t FOB on 23 Nov’21, following a deal concluded at $320/t FOB for 75,000 t of Australian Peak Downs North branded premium mid-volatile coking coal with late-Dec laycan. However, supply concerns persist due to railway disturbances in Canada and weather disruptions in Australia. Therefore, market participants feel that prices may rebound on supply tightness.
